Built in the 1970s to an award-winning if slightly eccentric design, The Wig Wam provides accommodation as follows:
First Floor reached via wooden stairs and balcony – sitting/dining room with a dining table that comfortably seats six to eight, television, DVD player, CD/radio and selection of board games. Crockery, cutlery and glassware for 10 is provided together with some unbreakables for al fresco dining. Kitchen with dishwasher, electric oven with grill, hob, microwave, ‘fridge, toaster, coffee maker, food processor and electric hand whisk;
Second floor reached by an open-tread staircase - double bedroom, bathroom (with bath) and small bedroom with child-size bunk beds;
Third floor - bedroom with twin beds.
Ground floor - garage opening through to paved garden to the rear, shower room, separate WC, ‘fridge-freezer, washing machine.
The large sheltered balcony off the kitchen is a sun trap and the bistro table and chairs encourage breakfasting outdoors remarkably early in the season. Steps lead down to a paved garden area with planting and a gentle stream beyond a low fence. A dining table, chairs, sun loungers and barbecue are available.
Two cars, or one car and a boat, can be parked at the front of the property. Smoking is not permitted indoors. Bed linen, hand and tea towels are provided but not bath towels. Heating is provided by a ducted hot air system from a central electric storage unit. Top-up heating appliances are provided in all rooms.For an extra charge one pet can be accommodated and there is a fuel charge from October to April.
